I ran out of gas on SE Woodward st. the other night and coasted to a stop across the street from this phone in someones front yard. Normally any phone booth or public phone I would assume to be out of commission. The only reason I went up to this one is because I was curious to know what it was doing in a residential area. I picked up the receiver and a voice told me ‘dial one for free calls,’ or something like that. After pressing ‘1’ I got a dial tone and was able to make free calls. After learning about this company I have spotted two more of their phones in SE Portland. I went to their web site and learned that they take donations of various materials, which I will be looking out for when I collect bottles and cans. I do see routers occasionally in the recycling, believe it or not.
I’m goiung to focus on ways of driving people to my blog today. I get an average of five visitors per day and that is starting to discourage me a bit.
